GPLF 2026
Our 2026 GPLF was April 22 & 23, 2026, and featured featured five incredible authors and illustrators: Deborah Hopkinson, Melissa Iwai, Oge Mora, David Ezra Stein, and Lindsey Stoddard.
GPLF 2025: Our Inaugural Festival
Our inaugural event featured two picture book creators, Vanessa Brantley Newton and Mike Lowery, as well as middle grade novelists Dusti Bowling and Kirby Larson. They visited many area schools and interacted with and engaged young readers.
At our first-ever community event, they signed books, drew illustrations, read aloud, and provided a launch pad of creativity for the thousands of Nebraska students who were able to experience their visits. The authors and illustrators spoke to students from all backgrounds and walks of life, encouraging them to read, write, and follow their dreams.
